OUTLOOK

The Knights are an experienced team and should challenge for the league title. They finished second a year ago. Trentine had 29 RBIs and Jordan 22 during the regular season. Both were named first-team all-league, as was Vlcek. They are all three-year starters. Enriquez is solid in the field and should be improved at the plate. He and Vlcek give the Knights a solid left side of the infield. Trentine made a successful transition from third base to catcher last season and is among the best around. Pitching will be the key. Last season, Jason Schwary stepped forward to become the ace. He went 7-1 during the regular season. Paisley, Roberts and Weaver will look to fill that void. All three saw time last season. Bailey will also see some time on the mound, as will Jensen. If the Knights can get some consistency from a couple of them, they’ll have a good shot at the title.
