Rappin’ at the Door: A trouble-free Ice Cube concert at Glam Slam on Tuesday night may open the door to more Los Angeles concerts by hard-core rappers. “We put out a statement that rap can be safely handled in L.A.,” said club spokesman Jim Spizzirri. Promoters here have been wary of the tough, street sound in recent years because of the fear of gang-related violence. Despite hundreds of shows without incident around the country the country, Ice Cube--a Los Angeles resident--had only done one other concert in his hometown in three years.
