Hurley Gets Assist Record
Bobby Hurley set the NCAA career record for assists and scored 19 points in his final home game as No. 6 Duke beat Maryland, 95-79, in an Atlantic Coast Conference game Wednesday night.
Hurley finished with 12 assists to increase his total to 1,046. The record was held by North Carolina State’s Chris Corchiani, who had 1,038 from 1987-91.
Hurley hit Erik Meek with a pass from the right wing with 11:02 left in the half for the record.
Duke is 23-5 overall and 10-5 in the ACC.
