Dr. Jack Kevorkian

The action of the California Medical Board in attempting to revoke the license of Dr. Jack Kevorkian (Feb. 24) is a ridiculous attempt to polish the board’s tarnished image, since Kevorkian has not practiced in California in more than 10 years. Also, they are punishing him for breaking California law--but not in California. Silly us, we thought that if an action was legal in the jurisdiction where performed, it was legal. There must be much more pressing issues the board could be dealing with. Aren’t there any negligent/incompetent/fraudulent doctors actually practicing in California?
