CS Bakersfield Advances, 98-68
Center Kenny Warren made 11 of his 15 three-point attempts on his way to a game-high 40 points to lead Cal State Bakersfield to a 98-68 NCAA Division II first-round West Regional victory over Grand Canyon at Bakersfield on Friday night.
Bakersfield will face Alaska Anchorage tonight.
Only one of Warren’s 12 field goals on the night was a two-pointer, and he also made all five of his free throws.
Warren also had five assists and four rebounds. Todd Holthaus led Grand Canyon with 25 points and eight rebounds.
Bakersfield outscored Grand Canyon by 50-22 during the first half by making seven three-pointers and limiting Grand Canyon to 27.3% shooting.
