NCAA Coverage to Preempt Shows on CBS

Regular programming on CBS will be preempted today and Friday by the network’s coverage of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. Scheduled to be televised are first-round games involving UCLA and Cal State Long Beach.
Today’s schedule includes a West Regional game between Illinois and Cal State Long Beach at 11:45 a.m., preceded by an East Regional contest between St. John’s and Texas Tech at 9:15 a.m.
Arizona will play Santa Clara at 5 p.m. in a West Regional game, followed by California vs. Louisiana State in a Midwest Regional matchup at 7:40 p.m.
On Friday at 7:40 p.m., Iowa State plays UCLA at Tucson, Ariz., in a West Regional game. At 9:15 a.m., Oklahoma State meets Marquette in the Midwest Regionals, Iowa plays Northeast Louisiana at 11:45 a.m. in the Southeast Regionals and Michigan faces Coastal Carolina at 5 p.m. in the West Regionals.
On both days, KCBS-TV Channel 2 plans to air “The Price Is Right” from 2-3 p.m., with local and national newscasts scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m.
