COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Lemm’s Victories Key Golden West to Sweep of El Camino, Long Beach

Sean Lemm won the 500 and 1,000 freestyles as Golden West defeated El Camino and Long Beach in a double dual men’s swimming meet at Golden West.
The Rustlers beat El Camino, 82-22, and Long Beach, 61-43, Long Beach beat El Camino 76-28. Lemm won the 1,000 in 10 minutes 24.76 seconds and the 500 in 5:02.14.
In women’s South Coast Conference swimming:
Golden West wins--Jennifer Bloomfield and Stephanie Kramer each won two events as Golden West (4-0) defeated El Camino, 88-49, and Long Beach, 88-40. Bloomfield won the 200 individual medley and the 500 freestyle, and Kramer won the 100 breaststroke and 100 individual medley.
In Orange Empire Conference men’s swimming:
Rancho Santiago 130, Riverside 86--Joel Stewart won the 50 freestyle (22.8) and the 100 freestyle (50.1) and Jason Leach won the 200 individual medley (2:09.0) and the 500 freestyle (5.06.0) for host Rancho Santiago (4-0).
In Orange Empire Conference women’s swimming:
Riverside 137, Rancho Santiago 51--Caroline Burch won the 200 individual medley (2:15.4), the 200 freestyle (2:15.4), and the 50 backstroke (31.3) for Rancho Santiago.
In Orange Empire Conference golf:
Saddleback win--Jason Reeder shot a one-over 73 for medalist honors at Western Hills to lead Saddleback (377) past San Diego Mesa (396), Fullerton (423) and Rancho Santiago (426).
In nonconference golf:
Orange Coast 383, Citrus 389--Jeff Hunt had a two-under 70 for Orange Coast (8-4).
