Lem Barney, 47, a Hall of Fame defensive back with the Detroit Lions, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol. A crack pipe, several marijuana cigarette butts and a white powder were also confiscated from Barney’s car, according to state police in Detroit. Barney, driving alone, crashed into a freeway ramp on southbound Interstate 75 in Detroit about 4:50 p.m. EST, but was not hurt in the crash.
