New Teen Shows: NBC is beefing up its teen-oriented Saturday morning schedule with two new shows. “Homer Reed Academy” is the working title of a comedy series about teens at an East Coast boarding school, and “Brains and Brawn” pits groups of teen-agers against each other in fast-paced rounds of academic and physical challenges. The latter series is being developed to premiere July 10 when “NBA Inside Stuff” goes on hiatus during basketball’s off-season. The remainder of the network’s new 10 a.m.-noon schedule, which premieres Sept. 11, includes the continued series “Saved by the Bell: The New Class,” “California Dreams” and “Name Your Adventure,” which NBC created specifically to meet the requirements of the FCC Children’s Television Act.
