Robles, although just a freshman, is making a major impact at Fullerton, both as a hitter and a pitcher.

Robles, from Santa Fe Springs St. Paul High, bats lead-off for the Hornets and has done very well so far. Going into this week, she was hitting a team-high .426 and also leads the team in runs scored with 15.

Last week, she was four for eight with an RBI and scored four runs in two Fullerton victories, including a 14-1 victory over Irvine Valley that was called after five innings because of the mercy rule.

Other top performers:

Trisha Bokano and Kerry Moloney of Cypress’ softball team. Moloney was five for seven, scored five runs and drove in seven. Bokano was five for nine, scored four runs and drove in four.

Becky Elcock of who was four for six with a triple and a home run in two games for Orange Coast.
