COLLEGE BASKETBALL / FINAL FOUR NOTES : KANSAS : Williams Doesn’t Need a Reminder

Kansas Coach Roy Williams was approached at the Allen Fieldhouse during a welcome-home celebration last Saturday after his team defeated Indiana and advanced to the Final Four. A fan asked him to autograph a 1992 NCAA tournament cap.

Making small talk, the fan asked Williams if he remembered Texas El Paso, the team that eliminated the Jayhawks in the second round last season.

Said Williams: “I really wanted to tell him where he could put that hat. I refused to sign it.”
