The Philadelphia Phillies acquired left-handed reliever Mark Davis from the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday in exchange for a minor league pitcher.
The club did not disclose who would be moved to make room for Davis, a former Cy Young Award winner, on the 25-man roster.
The Phillies said they would share the cost of Davis’ $3.25-million contract for 1993 with the Braves and Kansas City Royals, his prior two clubs.
Atlanta had designated Davis for minor league assignment. Davis had a 2.16 earned-run average in 10 appearances this spring.

San Francisco Giant left fielder Barry Bonds was sidelined for Tuesday’s game with the Florida Marlins because of a strained right hamstring he suffered Monday while sprinting to first base to beat the throw on a grounder. The injury is not considered serious. . . . Reliever Rob Dibble won’t be available to the Cincinnati Reds for the rest of their series in Philadelphia because of a small perforation on his right ear drum. The club had speculated that an ear problem might be affecting Dibble’s balance. . . . Willie Randolph, former New York Yankee second baseman, was named the team’s assistant general manager.
