Custom-er Satisfaction

Your article about U.S. Customs Service improvements at LAX (“Changing the Customs Used for LAX Arrivals,” April 4) made reference to the Delta and Northwest terminals. There is nothing wrong with calling Terminal 5 the Delta Terminal, since the airline paid for the construction of the building and is the only carrier in that terminal. Terminal 2, however, is jointly owned by Air Canada and Northwest Airlines, and is also used by other carriers, including Avianca, Hawaiian, KLM, VASP and Virgin Atlantic Airlines. Therefore, referring to Terminal 2 as the Northwest Terminal is not only inaccurate, as Air Canada also has invested its money in the building, but misleading.
