University of Houston Coach John Jenkins ordered illegal summer workouts and gave financial aid to a prospective player, a Cougar assistant who was fired by Jenkins charged.
Former Houston receivers coach Steve Staggs told a Houston radio station that he participated in helping Jenkins make payments to help the player attend summer school in 1988 so he could be eligible to play for the Cougars.
