GLENDALE : Suicide on Train Tracks Is 9th Metrolink Fatality
A young man leaped into the path of a Metrolink commuter train in Glendale Monday and was killed on impact, a spokesman for the rail service said.
“The ninth Metrolink fatality occurred at 3:40 p.m. at Grandview Avenue and San Fernando Road in Glendale,” said Peter Hildago, spokesman for the Metrolink system. “It was a suicide, and this was determined by the fact that the Police Department found a note, and witnesses and the Metrolink crew witnessed him dive in front of the train.”
No other injuries were reported.
