HEADING EAST: Tamara Ivie’s first-inning two-run homer Sunday lifted Cal State Northridge past Fresno State, 2-0, in the college softball Western Regional finals. . . . It was the ninth homer this season for the junior first baseman, and an NCAA-record 40th for the Matadors, who lost the first game, 2-0, in the double-elimination event. . . . Northridge will join two other Southern California teams in the eight-team Women’s College Softball World Series to be played in Oklahoma City May 27-31 (C6).
