Granada Hills Camp Always on the Go

Share

The best thing about Camp Ruach in Granada Hills is that the older you are, the less time you spend there.

Seventh- through ninth-graders who attend Camp Ruach’s Teens On The Move day camp will instead spend plenty of time at the Southland’s favorite amusement parks and other attractions.

“Teens On The Move highlights are trips every single day,” said Karen Rosengarten, teen director for Camp Ruach. “They go to Raging Waters, Disneyland, Magic Mountain.”

In addition, the program provides overnight camping trips.

For younger adventurers, Camp K’ton, for kindergarten through third grades, features swimming, beach activities and field trips. Tween Camp, for fourth through sixth grade, includes bowling, roller skating, a visit to Knott’s Berry Farm and camping trips. Transportation and extended care from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. are also available.

All the fun will be had during Camp Ruach’s three summer sessions, from July 6 to Aug. 13. Each session is two weeks long and the campers may sign up for three to five days per week. Cost ranges from $170 for members to $320 for non-members.

An open house to inform parents about Camp Ruach will be held Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. A 10% discount on all tuitions will be offered for those who sign up by June 10.
