Just for Kids Season Schedule

Tonight’s performance by We Tell Stories is the first of 11 family shows to be presented during the Just for Kids series at Pearson Park. Organizers say all performances are appropriate for children in grades K-6. Shows begin at 7:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

June 10: “The Spirit of Black Folklore,” by We Tell Stories.

June 17: “Broadway Babies,” an introduction to the music of Broadway by the Golden State Children’s Theatre.

June 24: Magic and illusions by Ross Rice and Carol.

July 1: Storytelling with mime, masks and song by David Novak.

July 8: “The Wonder of the Written Word,” stories and songs by J.P. Nightingale.

July 15: “Our Little Blue Planet,” international stories by “modern-day minstrel” Paul Tracey.

July 22: Audience participation circus-style acts by Make-A-Circus (begins at 6:30 p.m.).

July 29: Introduction to rhyming through skits and audience interaction by Pacific Poetry Ensemble.

Aug. 5: Southwest folk tales with puppets and masks by the Magical Moonshine Theatre.

Aug. 12: Mime, juggling, magic and illusions by The Jester Extraordinaire.

Aug. 19: “Tales of Mother Goose” and “Eeyore’s Birthday” danced by Ballet Pacifica.
