A gunman shot a 24-year-old Northridge man in the neck as he drove down the Golden State Freeway in Sun Valley, Los Angeles police said Friday.
A motive for the shooting had not yet been determined Friday, said Detective Jim Bosse, adding that the attack did not appear to be gang-related.
Harold Ciccone was driving his Volkswagen north on the freeway Thursday, between Penrose Street and Lankershim Boulevard, when he was struck by one of three bullets fired into his car, Bosse said.
Ciccone was in stable condition Friday, Bosse said. No suspects had been arrested, but Ciccone described his assailant’s car to detectives as a late-model rust-colored Honda Civic.
