KCBS’ “2 Protect Our Planet” reports on global ozone depletion and what we can do to protect ourselves from excessive radiation from the sun. Host Steve Rambo also highlights the Center for Regenerative Studies at Cal Poly Pomona, Sunday at 5 p.m. on Channel 2.

Also on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. on KNBC, actor Danny Glover is the host of “Stop, Look and Listen,” which attempts to point out basic safety rules of importance to children.

“One Child, One Dream: The Horatio Alger Awards” is a Sunday NBC special that grants scholarships to outstanding students who overcame adversity in the form of abuse, poverty or physical handicap, 7 p.m. on Channels 4, 36 and 39.

And tonight at 8, PBS presents “Pavarotti in Central Park,” featuring the renowned tenor performing with flutist Andrea Griminelli, the New York Philharmonic and the Boys Choir of Harlem.
