THOUSAND OAKS : Award Is Offered in Attack on Motel Maid
Ventura County Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of a man who beat and sexually assaulted a maid at the EZ-8 motel in Thousand Oaks on June 8.
The maid was cleaning the bathroom when the man entered the room and hit the woman several times, breaking her cheekbone and knocking her unconscious. When she awoke, she realized she had been sexually assaulted.
She described the man as white, about 35 years old and 5-foot-11 with a thin build. He had thick blondish-brown hair and a mustache over thick lips. His eyes were blue and his dirty, collar-length hair was brushed to the side and back at the temples.
The woman said he wore a solid green fatigue jacket, white T-shirt with a large design on the front and long, light-blue jeans.
Persons with information can call the Ventura County Crime Stoppers Program at 494-TALK. If the information leads to an arrest and the filing of a criminal complaint, the caller will be eligible for the reward.
Callers may remain anonymous if they want.
