SIMI VALLEY : Suit Accuses Dentist of Sexual Harassment
- Share via
A Simi Valley dentist fired a dental assistant after she continually refused his sexual advances, a lawsuit filed Tuesday in Ventura County Superior Court alleges.
Don Shire “repeatedly engaged in touching, patting and attempting to fondle” dental assistant Nicole Contreras while she worked for Shire between April and November, 1992, the suit contends.
The suit also states that Shire falsely accused Contreras of stealing gold from his office.
J. Jeffrey Long of Van Nuys, the attorney who filed the suit on behalf of Contreras, could not be reached for comment late Tuesday. Shire also was unavailable.
The suit does not seek a specific amount of damages but asks for reimbursement of medical and related expenses, general and punitive damages, loss of earnings and suit costs.
