THOUSAND OAKS : Youth, Adults Sought for Advisory Panel

Teen-agers and adults interested in helping to set priorities for programs at the Thousand Oaks Teen Center can apply now to be a member of the teen advisory committee, officials said.

The committee, made up of 10 teen-agers and five adults, will meet monthly to discuss the Teen Center’s operational policies and programs, officials said. The committee will make recommendations to Teen Services Director Brenda Coleman.

Eight members will be appointed to two-year terms, while seven will serve one-year terms, officials said. Applications can be obtained at the Teen Center, 1375 E. Janss Road. All applications must be returned to the center by 5 p.m. Aug. 13.

Adult candidates must be involved in a youth-oriented activity such as education, social service or community sports.
