Christie Signs Multiyear Contract

Doug Christie, a restricted free agent who had played 23 games for the Lakers last season after being acquired from Seattle on Feb. 22, signed a multiyear contract with the Lakers Monday.
Terms were not disclosed, but the 6-foot-6 former Pepperdine standout said: “I’ll be here for a while. I don’t plan on going anywhere.”
Playing point guard and small forward, Christie averaged 6.2 points, 2.3 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 14.4 minutes in his abbreviated rookie season.
