HAWTORNE : Hotel Van Hijacked at Airport; 7 on Board Robbed

Six airline flight attendants and a hotel van driver were terrorized by three gun-toting holdup men who took over the van at a stop at Los Angeles International Airport and forced the driver to drive to a quiet residential strip where they were robbed, authorities said Thursday.

The Airport Hilton Hotel driver picked up the attendants at the American Airlines terminal and was hailed at another terminal by the three men in their early 20s. The bandits pulled out weapons and ordered the driver to go to the 5300 block of West 119th Street in Hawthorne.

There, the robbers took money from each of the attendants and the driver, ordered them to put their heads between their knees and left with the van’s keys.
