Steven Bickel to Head International Sales at Goldwyn

Much Ado About Sales: Steven Bickel is the new president of international sales and operations for Samuel Goldwyn Co., the company that distributed the hit “Much Ado About Nothing.”

Bickel for the past two years has consulted for the French bank Banque Paribas in its film financing and foreign distribution business.

Theodore C. Newman is the new vice president of human resources/operations at Warner Bros.

David Simone has been named senior vice president of business affairs at Capitol Records. Simone joined the company last year. Before that, he was a consultant to the Atlanta-based law firm of Katz, Smith and Cohen.

Bob Pfeifer and Nick Terzo have joined Hollywood Records as vice presidents of A&R.; Pfeifer was vice president of A&R; at Epic Records. He also was a member of the underground band Human Switchboard. Terzo was senior director of A&R; at Columbia Records.

Maureen Doherty is the new vice president and general counsel for Michael Jackson’s MJJ Enterprises.

Paul Schiff has signed a new, three-year exclusive production deal at 20th Century Fox.
