West Valley : Power Outage Hits 4 Cities

More than 900 homes and businesses across Alhambra, Monterey Park, Rosemead and San Gabriel experienced a blackout Monday night caused by an equipment malfunction.
Terri Gonzalez, an area manager at Southern California Edison Co., said the one-circuit power failure occurred about 7:30 p.m. She said power to all but 50 businesses was restored by 8:30 p.m.
The blackout primarily affected residential areas, but several busy commercial areas also lost power.
