STUDIO CITY : Waxman to Address Community Meeting

National health care, economic recovery and post-Cold War foreign affairs are among the topics of a community meeting called by Rep. Henry A. Waxman tonight in Studio City.
Appearing at Carpenter Avenue Elementary School, 3909 Carpenter Ave., from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Waxman is expected to make a brief speech before answering constituents’ questions.
Richard Close, president of the Sherman Oaks Homeowners Assn., will introduce the Los Angeles Democrat who has represented parts of the Valley since 1975.
“This is an excellent opportunity to make direct comment on (Valley) and other issues without going to Washington, “ Close said.
