Children’s Health Fairs Scheduled
The fourth annual Kids Care Fair will return the weekend of Sept. 10-12 to 40 sites throughout Southern California.
The fair will be open to all children and their families, providing full immunizations for children as well as health examinations for youths 3 to 18. The health screenings will include vision testing and dental examinations. Also featured will be booths on safety and a resource center for parents.
Eligible families will be assisted in finding health services such as the Child Health and Disability Prevention program; the Women, Infants and Children program and Medi-Cal.
The goals of the Kids Care Fair is to educate parents on the importance of preventive health care.
Since its inception in 1990, Kids Care Fair has immunized more than 25,000 children, delivered health screenings to 12,000 children and linked thousands of children and families to health care.
