FLYING SOUTH: Artexpo, an annual fair for affordable art, will be at the Anaheim Convention Center Oct. 7-10, after eight years of convening in Los Angeles. Why the switch? . . . Spokeswoman Jody Hauber says: “Our studies show the market is shifting south, and Orange County is the place to be.” Not that Orange County isn’t having tough times too, she says, but “it is managing to sustain viability.”

CARL IS HAPPY: Do you leave the room when the little cartoon Carl starts talking to Happy, the little cartoon star, on those Carl’s Jr. commercials? MAGIC MOMENT: You miss the Laker days of old, when Earvin Johnson, Michael Cooper and Kurt Rambis were bringing home league championships? They’re all retired now. But you can still see them re-create a little Laker magic. . . . They’ll be teammates again, in an “All Star” game at the Anaheim Arena on Sept. 17--tickets $10-$20 go on sale Monday. They’ll play a group of former college stars. Says a spokesman: “If Magic’s there, it’s got to be a great game.”

This week he said Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis may soon make her first White House visit since she was First Lady. . . . Kevin Cartwright of the Nixon Library & Birthplace faxed him a correction: She’d taken her children back as guests of the Nixons in 1971. Limbaugh apologized on the air Friday, mentioning Cartwright by name. Says Cartwright: “I got calls from friends and acquaintances who heard it, people I’d never dream would ever listen to Rush Limbaugh.”
