VENTURA : Radio Commentator’s Funeral Service Pending
Funeral services for radio show host Frank Haines, who died Thursday of a heart attack, are pending.
Widely heralded for his award-winning radio commentary, Haines was a broadcast institution in Ventura County for 43 years.
Haines, 60, hosted a live weekday talk show between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Ventura’s KVEN (1450 AM) radio station.
Haines had experienced a series of health problems in recent years, most recently losing a leg to amputation from complications stemming from childhood polio.
