Mobile Home Park Needs Rent Relief

* We appreciate the article of Aug. 18 about a proposed rent stabilization ordinance for Calabasas Village Mobile Home Park, the only one in Calabasas.
We are not considered a trailer park and our homes are called coaches. We are a five-star mobile home park. All the coaches located here are double-wide and quite spacious. We have more square footage in our home here than we did in our tract home in Canoga Park.
We all have large investments in our homes, and because of excessive escalating space rents to a new buyer, we cannot sell unless the purchase price is lowered way below fair market prices.
The time has come to establish a fair rent stabilization ordinance for our park in order to protect our chosen lifestyle.
