A 19-year-old Pasadena man, sought for the last two weeks in a slaying that arose from a botched ATM robbery, has surrendered to police.
Antoine Tucker, 19, also known to live in Altadena, gave himself up at Pasadena police headquarters at 4 a.m. Tuesday, police said. He was being held without bail pending arraignment in Pasadena Municipal Court.
Tucker was identified as a suspect based on a videotape from a camera above the automated teller machine at First Interstate Bank on East Colorado Boulevard, where Douglas J. Lane, 41, a Pasadena carpenter, was shot and killed after he withdrew money Sept. 3.
A $50,000 reward prompted a speedy identification of Tucker. But police are still searching for others, regarded as witnesses, who were in a late 1970s Cadillac in which Lane’s assailant fled the scene.
