ANAHEIM — Ken Stegall, a former standout wrestler at Cypress College, has been named wrestling coach at Savanna High School, the school announced Monday.
Stegall, 23, won a State title in the 191-pound class for Cypress in 1990. He is an instructional aid at Savanna as well as a coach.
“I’m pretty excited about the opportunity,” he said. “It happened kind of fast.” Stegall applied for the position last week. He replaces Tom Caspari, who resigned in June.
Stegall, a student at Cal State Fullerton, will continue to work at Cypress College as an assistant on its wrestling team.
