COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Van Herk’s Three Goals Pace Cypress in Soccer

Lori Van Herk scored three goals to lead Cypress to a 4-0 victory over Fullerton in an Orange Empire Conference women’s soccer game Tuesday at Cypress.

Traci Osman also scored for the Chargers (10-0-1, 1-0 in the conference).

In other Orange Empire Conference women’s soccer:

Orange Coast 2, Palomar 0--Danae Fielder and Taia Newland each scored one goal for host Orange Coast (7-4).

Golden West 3, San Diego Mesa 0--Jenni Murray scored two goals for the Rustlers.

In Orange Empire Conference men’s soccer:

Cypress 1, Orange Coast 1--Pat Trevino scored for Cypress, and Rafael Mosqueda scored on a penalty kick for Orange Coast (5-0-4, 0-0-1). R.J. Gonzalez made 12 saves for Cypress (3-3-2, 0-0-1).

Fullerton 4, Rancho Santiago 1--Israel Cedillo scored two goals for host Fullerton (3-2-4, 1-0).
