County Player Advances to Final

Doris Clark of Laguna Beach, playing in the 65s singles, defeated June Gay of Piedmont, 7-5, 6-3, Friday to advance to the finals of the USTA Women’s Senior Hardcourt Tennis Championships at Leisure World.

Clark will play Cynthia Bruce of Coral Gables, Fla., who defeated Piyachart Hussey of Laguna Hills, 6-1, 6-2.

In the 75s singles, Dodo Cheney of Santa Monica won in finals, defeating Sheila Evans of Indianapolis, 6-2, 6-1.
