Man Shot During Apparent Burglary

FULLERTON — A 36-year-old suspect was shot in an apparent burglary attempt Monday, police said.
James Lee Brewer was shot in the shoulder after entering a residence in the 1300 block of Eltham Place, according to Lt. Michael J. Stedman. Brewer was shot by the 59-year-old resident of the home, whom police did not identify.
The resident held Brewer in the family room until police arrived. The suspect was taken to the jail ward of UCI Medical Center in Orange.
