GLENDALE : Police Identify Body of Shooting Victim
Glendale police on Wednesday identified the body of a victim of an apparent gang-related shooting as Ismael Borrego, 17, of Los Angeles.
Borrego and 18-year-old Ernesto Morales, 18, who survived, were found shot Tuesday shortly after midnight in a car outside a convenience store at Pacific Avenue and Colorado Street, Sgt. Lief Nicolaisen said.
Borrego, shot in the upper torso, was pronounced dead at Glendale Memorial Hospital at 1:21 a.m. Tuesday. Morales, who was shot in the abdomen, is in serious but stable condition at an undisclosed hospital.
No arrests have been made in the incident, police said.
