CS Northridge to Play CS Sacramento
Tailback Robert Trice will be chasing an NCAA rushing record when Cal State Northridge plays host to Cal State Sacramento at North Campus Stadium tonight at 7 in the American West Conference opener for the schools.
Trice, a senior from Rocky Point, N.C., has rushed for 539 yards and six touchdowns in Northridge’s last two games, both victories. He needs 173 yards to break the three-game record of 711 yards set last season by Keith Elias of Princeton.
He will be facing a Sacramento defense that has given up only one triple-digit rushing performance.
Northridge and Sacramento have 2-3 records as they open play in a new Division I-AA conference.
