The only mistakes by the Griffins were five turnovers that enabled Loara to venture into Los Alamitos territory.

Los Alamitos (7-0, 2-0) got on the board on its opening possession when Good spotted a wide-open Hartley crossing over the middle for a 47-yard score.

Brad Melsby gave the Griffins a 14-0 lead with 1:08 left in the first quarter when he caught a 34-yard touchdown pass from Good. After a partly blocked punt gave Los Alamitos the ball at the Saxons’ 36, Good needed only one play to find Hartley in the end zone for a 21-0 lead.
