L.A. Baptist 38, Paraclete 14--Zack Hernandez completed 21 of 39 passes for 347 yards and one touchdown and Dana Berg scored three touchdowns for the Knights (8-0, 3-0) at Monroe High.
Berg scored on runs of four and two yards and added a 50-yard touchdown reception that gave the Knights a 24-0 lead in the second quarter. Matt Hernandez, Zack’s twin, had eight receptions for 129 yards, Berg added four catches for 81 yards and Jim Romero had five catches for 73 yards.
Mike Kendrick scored on a 50-yard run for Paraclete (3-5, 2-2).
