Clarifying Events at Church of the Oaks

* This is in response to the article regarding the relocation of the Thousand Oaks Head Start program from the Church of the Oaks to the Many Mansions apartment complex. The article stated that the move is necessary because the Church of the Oaks is slated for demolition.

For clarification, part of the church property has been sold and the Church of the Oaks will be relocated to another area.

Part of the mission of our church is community outreach, so we have been pleased to have had Head Start using our facilities for over 12 years. Without the opportunity of attending the Head Start program, many youngsters would never be able to fully adapt to the school system. It is one of the most valuable assets in the county.
