ENCINO : Jackson Family Compound Is Searched by Police
Armed with a search warrant, Los Angeles police have searched the Encino residential compound of pop superstar Michael Jackson’s family, but whether any evidence was seized has not been revealed.
Police have declined to comment, but sources close to the case confirmed that the search took place Monday.
Jackson is the subject of a continuing criminal investigation touched off last summer by a 13-year-old boy’s allegations that the entertainer sexually molested him. Members of Jackson’s entourage have alleged that the boy’s father tried to extort $20 million. No criminal charges have been filed in the case.
Jackson’s ranch in the Santa Ynez Valley was searched shortly after the boy’s allegations were made.
