Low-Flush Toilets to Be Given Away
Department of Water and Power officials are just flush with ideas on how to save water.
Hoping to get ahead in its water conservation fight, the department will provide free low-flush toilets to East Valley customers Saturday at Reseda High School.
The low-flush commodes, which will save water and reduce water bills, will be available to customers who bring current DWP bills and photo identification.
The toilets will be distributed between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the student parking lot at the intersection of Lindley Avenue and Victory Boulevard.
In order for Reseda High School to benefit from the give-away, customers must return their old toilets to the school Nov. 20 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. The school will receive $15 for each returned toilet.
