Oh, Chute: Columns Better Than Fighters

I can’t get sore at the guy who parachuted in on the Bowe-Holyfield show. Not anymore. I’ve just finished the column Mike Downey got out of it (Nov. 10). I’ll probably still be laughing tomorrow.

I want to thank Jim Murray for not giving any praise to either Riddick Bowe or Evander Holyfield. Neither of these boxers has a clue about what it takes to be a real champion. Mike Tyson was the last great champion, and mark my words, he will be back.

I know. I know. Evander Holyfield is as exciting as sand, but I have yet to see or hear a heavyweight champion that has even half the class. It’s good to have him back.
