Paez, Looking for Another Title Shot, Is Back at Forum
Former featherweight champion Jorge Paez, aiming for another shot at the lightweight title, is scheduled to make his second consecutive appearance at the Forum tonight in a card that begins at 7:30.
Paez (46-6-4, 31 knockouts) is matched against Mexico’s Raul Franco (24-10-1, 18 KOs) in a scheduled 10-rounder. Paez’s last title fight was a unanimous 12-round decision loss to International Boxing Federation champion Freddie Pendleton last July 17.
In his last outing, Paez took a fourth-round technical knockout over Erick Madrid at the Forum.
