Starting cornerback Todd Lyght was held out of Thursday’s practice because of a bruised knee but is expected to play Sunday against the Washington Redskins.

Coach Chuck Knox said offensive tackle Jackie Slater (torn pectoral muscle) is listed as day to day, and offensive tackle Robert Jenkins (dislocated toe) is questionable.

Knox also said the Rams have not made a roster move to replace defensive end Robert Young, who underwent arthroscopic knee surgery last Monday, although they could make a decision today if Young is put on the injured reserve list.

Redskin Coach Richie Petitbon still hasn’t announced his starting quarterback for Sunday’s game. Mark Rypien and backup Rich Gannon split time in Thursday’s practice, but Knox expects Gannon to get the start.

“He has had some big games in his career, running the football and throwing it,” Knox said.

Redskin tackle Bobby Wilson (knee) and end Charles Mann (knee) made it through a full practice. Wilson, who’s listed as doubtful for Sunday, is expected to be replaced by Jason Buck if he can’t start.

Running back Ricky Ervins (thigh) is doubtful but practiced for the first time this week.
