Heartland (Disney Channel Wednesday at 11 p.m.) is Richard Pearce’s fine, subtle 1979 account of a widow (Conchata Ferrell) who moves to Wyoming, circa 1910, to become the housekeeper for rancher Rip Torn; based on the diaries of the real-life widow.

Leningrad Cowboys Go America (Bravo Thursday at 6 p.m.), Finnish filmmaker Aki Kaurismaki’s 1989 film, is a whimsical but thin road movie that combines concert film and travelogue as we follow a Finnish band forsaking polkas for rock ‘n’ roll while touring the seedy side of the South.

The Royal Family of Broadway (AMC Friday at 6:30 a.m.) is George Cukor and Cyril Gardner’s 1930 delight from the Edna Ferber-George S. Kaufman play about a Barrymore-like theatrical family.

Allan Dwan Westerns: AMC is featuring the pioneer director’s well-regarded 1950s Westerns “Silver Lode” (Friday at 2:30 p.m.), “Tennessee’s Partner” (Saturday at 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.) and “Cattle Queen of Montana” (Saturday at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.).
