BUENA PARK : Suspect Arrested in Fatal Bludgeoning

Share

A 24-year-old suspect has been arrested in the fatal bludgeoning and burning of a warehouse caretaker, police said Thursday. Police had been searching for Terry Don Little since Oct. 24, when the body of Steve W. Courvoisier, 39, was found in an industrial building in the 8500 block of Roland St.

Little had been staying with Courvoisier, who worked as a resident caretaker at the commercial warehouse, police said. The two men apparently had a fight, according to Sgt. Robert R. Chaney Jr., and Courvoisier was struck on the head. Courvoisier had been set afire, probably to cover up the slaying, Chaney said.

Acting on a tip, eight Buena Park detectives flew on Wednesday to San Bernardino County, where they joined sheriff’s deputies in surrounding an Apple Valley apartment complex where Little was staying. Little is being held in Orange County Jail on $250,000 bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned Dec. 10.

A suspect arrested earlier in connection with the slaying, Derrick Brady, has not been charged but is being held on unrelated charges.
