A dispute over a vehicle ended in gunfire Thursday, with three young Orange County men and a teen-ager going to area hospitals with gunshot wounds, police said Saturday.
The shooting occurred about 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon in the 900 block of Marengo Place, said Sgt. Dick Faust, who added that police were still trying to sort out the events that led to the shootings.
The victims’ injuries were not life-threatening, Faust said. The injured included Trung Tran, 20, Le Nguyen, 19, and Hoang Nguyen, 18, all of Santa Ana, and 15-year-old David Nguyen of Tustin.
Three of the victims were treated and released, while a fourth was admitted to a local hospital for treatment of his wounds, Faust said. He did not know which of the victims was admitted to the hospital and could not identify the hospital.
